We use our global network to support the growth of Japanese business and society. Drawing on years of experience, we bring overseas companies and Japanese companies together and create new opportunities for growth.

When overseas companies and people engage with Japan, language and business customs get in the way. We stand in between and get the work done in a way both sides understand, so that you succeed in Japan. Our mission is to strengthen these networks and make Japan more competitive.

We show the world what Japan has to offer and raise Japan's presence internationally. We bring talented people and new technology from around the world into Japan, and help Japanese companies grow further.

We also actively bring international business into Japan, contributing to the country's economic growth. With a global perspective and network, we work toward a more sustainable and prosperous future for Japan.

Shintaro Hari

Standing between overseas teams and Japanese venues and vendors, and turning an event into reality in words both sides understand — that is the work I have always done.

When you hold an English-language event in Japan, the problem is rarely English itself. It is not having someone you can talk to directly in English, who knows your industry, and who can explain the Japanese side to you. With an interpreter in the middle, the details and the on-the-day decisions get lost. I started Conectando to be that person.

An event is often how an overseas company or person begins a long relationship with Japan. I believe those relationships, built one by one, make Japan stronger — and that is why we take on each event the way we do.

Profile

Shintaro Hari launched new services and helped set up the US office at a Japanese startup, then ran Japan events for Tech in Asia, the Singapore-based tech media company, working between the headquarters and the Japanese operations partners. He later joined a US startup in the early stage of its Japan entry. He founded Conectando to run events that connect overseas teams and Japan.
